Behind the Scenes at Siren Yoga AZ: The Magic (and Chaos) of Doing It All!
When people hear that I run Siren Yoga AZ, they usually imagine me spending my days in continuous alignment, sipping iced matcha under the Arizona sun, and living in a constant state of savasana-level calm.
And while I love what I do—guiding sound baths, hosting private bachelorette yoga sessions, and bringing mobile yoga right to your Airbnb or backyard pool—the behind-the-scenes reality is a little more chaotic, a lot more fun, and involves way more screen time than you’d think!
When you run a solo mobile yoga business in the Valley, "yoga teacher" is only one of the many fun (and crazy) hats you wear. I am also a mom, a grandma now, and do a little modeling on the side. Here’s a peek at what it actually takes to bring the good vibes to you!
The Siren Yoga "Behind-the-Scenes" Hustle
Teaching a high-energy bachelorette flow or a soothing floating sound bath requires total presence, upbeat energy, and great tunes. But the minute class wraps and the cold Lavender Savasana towels are handed out, the role-switching begins:
Web Tech & Fixer 💻: Wrestling with website code at 11:00 PM, making sure booking links work smoothly, and trying to figure out why a form isn't loading on mobile. Reaching out again and again to the clients. Calling is still my favorite; old-time phone calls are hotter than ever.
Content Creator & Marketing Director: Designing flyers, editing fun Reels, matching playlists to the vibe (from Taylor Swift 'Bridal Era' hits to ambient spa jams), and keeping up with Instagram so local groups can find us!
Equipment & Event Logistics Coordinator: Loading up matching yoga mats, blocks, blankets, crystal singing bowls, driving across Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, and Phoenix, and resetting it all for the next group.
Customer Service & Admin Extraordinaire: Responding to Maids of Honor planning surprise weekends, coordinating with corporate event hosts, invoicing, and keeping backend scheduling humming along. Payments? Yep, I am on top of those too.
Learning! Keeping the craft fresh: Whether that is renewing my CPR/AED certification religiously, researching new flows and moves, taking courses through NASM or AFAA, refreshing my cues, or working on my Google reviews, I am ALWAYS trying to polish my knowledge. Learning the technology at my age isn’t easy.
One of my favorite sessions! Outdoors!
I work with love and passion so your session is perfect!
The Funny Paradox of the Wellness World
The biggest plot twist of running Siren Yoga AZ solo? As teachers, we are constantly encouraging you to slow down, take a deep breath, and listen to your body. Yet behind the scenes, running a full-scale mobile yoga company solo means moving at 100 miles per hour! Allowing myself plenty of time to drive to you and arriving early and matching the energy of the group.
Finding the balance between fixing broken code (help! does anyone speak Technology?) on the site and stepping into a private backyard fully grounded and ready to bring the energy is an art form in itself. I am a witness that an old dog can learn new tricks!
Why I Wouldn't Trade It For The World
So why do it all? Because creating Siren Yoga AZ from scratch means every single detail is authentic. I promise I will give you my all.
There are no cookie-cutter templates or corporate middle-management here. When you book a private session, you're interacting directly with the person who curates your playlist, packs your lavender towels, drives to your location, and leads your practice. That means I care about your session more than you know, because it reflects on me. And if you get one of my teachers, they care deeply, too.
When a bride tells me her group felt so refreshed, energized, and ready to take on Scottsdale after a morning flow—or when someone lets out a deep sigh of relief during a floating sound bath—every hour spent answering emails or troubleshooting tech is 100% worth it.
Thank You for Being Part of the Siren Squad!
If you’ve ever booked a session, left a 5-star review, tagged us in your bachelorette weekend posts, or recommended Siren Yoga AZ to a friend—thank you so much! Supporting a small, independent business means supporting the person making the playlists, hauling the gear, writing the emails, and holding space on the mat. If you haven’t left a review yet, it is never too late. I am also on Facebook reviews and Yelp.
Got a question about what goes into our mobile yoga events, sound baths, or bachelorette packages? Reach out directly—I’d love to chat with you!
